BODY

DRIVETRAIN

The car's incredible power is supplied by a stout, 6.2 liter V8 that's based on GM's award winning Generation IV small block. Exclusive to the ZL1, and Cadillac's world-beating CTS-V, the LSA utilizes an aluminum block, stainless exhaust manifolds, a low-lift cam, modified heads and 9 psi of Eaton boost to twist 580 horsepower into 556 lb./ft. of earth-moving torque. Behind the monster mill, a slick-shifting Tremec TR6060 6-speed spins a limited-slip differential around beefy, 3.73 gears. That drivetrain plays well with a lowered, Nurburgring-tested suspension, which benefits from Performance Traction Management and GM's universally loved Magnetic Ride Control. Variable-ratio power steering and big Brembo calipers combine with factory ABS and electronic brake distribution to ensure this is one of the best handling Camaros to date. A sweet but equally brutal soundtrack is provided by Chevrolet's dual-mode exhaust system, technology made popular by the C6 Corvette. And power pounds the pavement via forged aluminum wheels, which spin 285/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1s in front of 305/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1s.

INTERIOR
