It seems only fitting that Ford and Shelby American would eventually renew their decades abandoned push to dominate the performance car world. And this 6,982-mile Shelby GT, mixing a hot Mod Motor with five forward gears and a tuned suspension, is a perfect example of why that partnership is a match made in heaven. Want some cool and exclusive muscle that you can actually drive and enjoy? This impressive, one-owner drop-top is exactly what you've been waiting for!
Complementing rich Vista Blue 2-stage with power-operated vinyl and vivid silver racing stripes, this handsome Mustang has spent most of its life parked in dry storage. Thanks to that shelter, and a noted aversion to rain and wintry weather, the car's owner maintained factory-fresh aesthetics that would be right at home in a dealer's showroom. According to CARFAX, those aesthetics are 100% straight with no history of accidents or damage of any kind. And a close look down this Ford's sculpted fuselage reveals world-class finishing that, by far, creates one of the nicest late-model pony cars we've ever seen!
Ford's reborn Shelby program celebrated one of the most successful partnerships in performance car history. Combining cold air induction and performance tuning with an aluminum block, forged internals and aluminum, 3-valve heads, this Mustang's 4.6 liter Mod Motor makes a stout 319 horsepower. That power spins a smooth 5R55S 5-speed, which twists torque to an 8.8-inch axle that's fitted with 3.55, Shelby-installed gears. Those cogs push a Shelby-tweaked chassis that, upgraded with Ford Racing sway bars, Ford Racing dampers, a Ford Racing strut brace and Ford Racing springs, provides a 1.5-inch lower ride height. At the corners of the car, power-assisted calipers squeeze big, vented rotors. Turns come courtesy of super-efficient power rack-and-pinion steering. Legendary noise emanates from Shelby-installed Performance X-pipe Exhaust. Naturally, Ford's standard ABS and traction control systems are present and accounted for. And all this first class agility rides on bright Shelby kicks and 235/50ZR18 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As.
Inside this 'stang, bolstered seats, which feature standard power adjustment for the car's driver, ride opposite a leather-wrapped steering wheel that laps a tilting column. The dash is a familiar Mustang layout, which frames a small Shelby plaque and chrome-trimmed instrumentation. Below that dash, a powerful Shaker 500 stereo combines MP3 compatibility with a 6-disc CD changer. Below that stereo, a short shifter leads a convenient console. And naturally, all the luxuries you'd expect in a high dollar modern car are ready and waiting, including: Cruise Control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors and Remote Keyless Entry.
Even without its natural exclusivity, this red-hot drop-top would satisfy virtually any performance enthusiast. With plenty of power and nearly universal appeal, it's hard to think of a more desirable modern pony car. Add in the Shelby name and exceptionally low mileage, and this thoroughbred starts looking like a great buy! Call, click or visit https://www.RKMotors.com for more information.
