Logging only 1,549 miles since it rolled off Chrysler's Brampton, Ontario assembly line, and straight in to the state of everything bigger, this demented Hennessey marvel is number 1 of only 50 HPE1000 Challenger Demons produced for the 2018 model year. The car's neon Yellow Jacket 2-stage presents an extra polished appearance thanks to a black Chrysler splitter, a black Hennessey spoiler and darkly tinted, “Hennessey” branded glass. Naturally its slick, showroom-fresh fit is as close to perfect as a factory car can get, with tight black rockers complementing ornate badging, aggressive grilles and a trick fuel filler. And items like power mirrors, tasteful widebody flares, Air Catcher Headlights and a Demon-spec Air Grabber Hood complement conservative form with convenient function.

THE ELEPHANT WITHIN

Pigments are pretty and accessories are cool, but now it's time to get down to business. If you think the exterior of this car is impressive, you're going to LOVE what's under its hood. Cranking out a legendary 1,035 horsepower and 948 lb./ft. of all-out torque, this Challenger's supercharged Hemi is ready to rock and roll! Essentially a better breathing version of Chrysler's already impressive SRT engine, this hot 6.2 liter begins with a 2.7 liter IHI supercharger, which amps boost with the help of a Metco 2.85 upper pulley and an ATI 10% lower pulley. Copious oxygen is supplied by a Hennessey throttle body, which is married to a Hennessey High-Flow Air Induction System. That air meets fuel with the help of Hennessey engine calibration and Hennessey High-Flow injectors. And, immediately following combustion, spent gases roar in to stainless, Hennessey-installed headers. Details like a Hennessey supercharger pulley and a Hennessey High-Flow Supercharger Bypass Valve ensure solid usability accompanies this MoPar's cool curb appeal. And the clean mill rolls in a sequentially numbered bay that displays OEM-level attentiveness to both engineering and assembly.

WELL-GROUNDED FLIGHT

The brutal Hemi spins eight forward gears through a proven TorqueFlite 8 8-speed automatic transmission. That transmission twists a limited-slip differential, which is equipped with optimal 3.09 gears. There's an adjustable Drag Mode Suspension that's equipped with standard stability control and standard traction control. Easy electronic power steering ensures you'll want to do more than hit the strip. Braking comes courtesy of 4-piston Brembos that, with the help of standard anti-lock software, clamp 14-inch, slotted rotors. Spent gases exit through cat-less pipes, which hang Chrysler mufflers, Chrysler resonators and an X-shaped crossover in front of polished stainless tips. And at the corners, monochromatic SRT wheels spin 315/40R18 Nitto NT05Rs.

JUST DRIVE…

Inside this pristine Challenger you'll find a fresh leather and Alcantara cockpit that displays virtually no wear at all. Front and center, heated and ventilated buckets, which look great leading an optional rear bench and optional red belts, feature full power adjustment for the car's driver. Speaking of the driver, a driver-oriented dash hangs detailed telemetry next to a serialized Demon plaque and sophisticated Uconnect Infotainment that mixes Chrysler's awesome Performance Pages technology with 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio. At ground-level, a wide console founds a chrome-trimmed shifter between Hennessey mats and factory climate control. In front of the driver, a heated, Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel spins small paddle shifters around a power tilt and telescoping column. And naturally, all the luxuries you'd expect in a line-topping Dodge are present and accounted for, including Bluetooth, ParkView and Sentry Key.
