A super stylish street rod that's dashed with a fair amount of muscle car swagger, this sweet Chevy features a detailed, custom appearance that's highlighted by a spectacular combination of Cream and Copper two-stage. That pigment showcases a solid, all-steel profile that was fully stripped and lovingly polished during a ground-up rotisserie restoration. And today, this classic rolls as one retro chic head turner that's as striking as it is timeless!

In addition to being strong sellers right out of the factory, Deluxe Chevys have always enjoyed massive followings in both the classic car and Kustom Kulture worlds. That's likely because, as with many Chevrolets, they struck an almost perfect balance of finance, function and, most importantly, form. On this clean custom, that form begins with a polished, 1949-exclusive grille that's protected by a tipped and guarded bumper. Stainless-trimmed headlight frame a 1950 hood ornament, which shades a 1950 hood crest opposite polished stainless wipers. Those wipers clear an unchopped greenhouse, which caps a stainless-trimmed profile that's dotted with retro mirrors and classy “Deluxe” scripts. And at the back of the car, a locking decklid shines a 1949 crest between a power antenna, trick Blue Dot Taillights, and a second guarded and tipped bumper.

POWER FOR THE AGES

Pop the hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of proven Chevy small block that looks good and runs great! A finned and polished air cleaner weaves wind into FiTech Go Street 400 HP fuel injection, which rides an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. That intake feeds tough, cast iron heads, which tilt finned and polished valve covers between billet breathers and loomed Taylor Spiro Pro plug wires. Those wires are sequenced to a reliable HEI distributor, which works well with a polished alternator. That alternator joins a polished AC compressor and a modern power steering pump behind pliable V-belts and billet pulleys. Spent gases fall through coated block hugger headers. Cooling is provided by a polished aluminum radiator, which is dressed with a polished cap, an electric fan and a corrugated hose. And the Chevy Orange mill looks right at home in this coupe's detailed, color-keyed engine bay.

SEAMLESS UPGRADES

Take a long look under this classic and you'll find a roster of significant modifications that add up to impressive dynamics and big performance gains. The buff 350 leads a cooled 700R4 4-speed. Chassis and suspension upgrades include a full Mustang II front-clip, a tubular crossmember and a rear sway bar. Tight turns are provided by power rack-and-pinion steering. Stops are quick and precise thanks to power-assisted discs and power-assisted drums. Spent gases are managed by aluminized pipes, which thread rowdy Flowmaster mufflers and polished stainless tips. And power pounds the pavement through upsized Artillery Wheels, which spin stylish, bowtie-branded centers inside 225/35ZR20 Nitto NT555 G2s and 245/40ZR20 Nitto NT555 G2s.

CLEAN AND CUSTOM

There's no shortage of street rods with custom interiors, but a customized classic that's this clean always tends to stand out! Cloth and vinyl seats are stitched to match custom side panels, which plant a duo of Polk Audio speakers in front of power-operated windows. A classy, color-keyed dash centers updated telemetry on billet accessory knobs and hardware for the car's modern climate control. Premium carpet parallels a tight headliner that's finished with a modern Sony CD player. A polished, banjo-style steering wheel laps a tilting column. And the passengers stow essentials in a custom-upholstered trunk.
