Paraded only weekend miles since its grand transformation, the car wears a sinuous Vintage Speedsters fiberglass body that mixes impressive fit and finish with rich black 2-stage paint. A stainless-trimmed windshield and a tasteful canvas roof accent that striking pigment. Deleted bumpers, GT louvered rear decklid, leather hood straps, headlight grills, and a Spyder fender mirror give the Speedster a killer competition ready look.

When the original 356 hit the scene, Team Porsche's main focus was the overall driving experience. And, while most of today's customs prowl the streets as gassed up super stars, there's something to be said about prioritizing pleasure over power. Simple and easy to live with, this roadster's storied 2,110cc boxer engine utilizes dual carburetors to provide plenty of boisterous performance. Backing that engine, a tough 4-speed Freeway Flyer overdrive transmission, upgraded with a billet aluminum short throw shifter, serves power to the rear wheels via a 3.88 final gear. That power is countered by a predictable combination of discs and drum brakes. Blacked out, center exit sport exhaust sounds great. Power meets the pavement through chrome 15” wheels, which spin new 185/70R15 radial tires. And, fitted with a sturdy front sway bar, this roadster's fully reconditioned Volkswagen chassis is fully sorted and ready to hit the road.

One look inside this custom's svelte racy Red interior reveals just how serious the car's aspirations are when it comes to being driver-focused. Slim seats stretch tight vinyl under modern lap belts. In front of those seats, a upholstered dash frames classy, original-style telemetry.
