The first-generation Ford Bronco has become more than an icon; it's a cultural benchmark. Among the many shops reimagining the classic Bronco, Vintage Broncos has developed a reputation for clean design and refined craftsmanship. This 1974 example, finished in Wimbledon White over distressed Cognac leather, was built from the ground up in 2023 with all-new hardware, a 5.0L Coyote heart, and a Kincer chassis beneath it. The result is a Bronco that feels timeless at a glance but drives like something straight off a modern Ford lot, quiet, composed, and confident in every environment.
The body is a reproduction steel tub dressed in clean Ranger-style chrome trim and capped with a removable soft top. Every surface is straight and crisp, with tight gaps and smooth reflections that speak to the quality of the metalwork. Stainless exhaust tips and polished 17" alloy wheels give the truck a subtle flash, while BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/As keep it grounded in function. Chrome bumpers, factory-style badging, and LED lighting round out a finish that pays respect to the Bronco's original design.
Under the hood, the 5.0L Ford Performance Coyote V8 transforms this Bronco from nostalgic runabout to genuine modern driver. Mated to a 10R80 ten-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled dual-range transfer case, the engine's 460 horsepower delivers crisp, predictable power with the refinement to cruise long distances and the punch to handle any terrain. Power is fed through a hybrid Dana 44 front and 9-inch rear axle, each packed with 4.11 gears, and the entire setup rides on a Kincer-built chassis with Bilstein shocks and a Borgeson power-steering system. Hydroboost-assisted four-wheel disc brakes give it the braking performance to match its acceleration.
Inside, the craftsmanship continues with diamond-stitched distressed Cognac leather stretched over high-back front buckets and a matching rear bench. The heated seats and matching door panels tie into a wood-grain steering wheel mounted on a polished, tilting column. Dakota Digital instrumentation replaces the original gauges with a sleek, modern cluster that integrates seamlessly into the leather-trimmed dash. A locking center console, power windows, and a full family-style roll cage make the cabin both secure and comfortable, while Vintage Air climate control and a Pioneer stereo with Kicker speakers bring modern livability to the trail.
Vintage Broncos has earned its reputation by building trucks that capture the essence of the original while delivering the comfort and performance today's drivers expect. This Wimbledon White Coyote-powered '74 proves why their name carries weight. It's timeless, capable, and beautifully executed from every angle.
